A customer may change his mind on purchasing the flat from a builder even after depositing the advance booking amount for the flat.
This may happen when the customer's application for a home loan for the flat has been rejected by the bank, or if he is unable to arrange the money for the flat from any other sources, or if he finds that the builder is not trustworthy and maybe a fraudulent firm, or if he decides to buy the flat somewhere else, etc.
It is not easy to get a refund on a flat booking amount. You should try to apply for a refund with the timeline allowed and within the terms/conditions agreed with the builder under a written arrangement.
