Teaching the students is not the only task a lecturer is supposed to perform. Modern day lecturers have versatile tasks to carry out during the course of their lectureship.
They create study materials, prepare lectures, guide class discussions, supervise the work of the students, oversee examinations, conduct specific research and most importantly they engage with the students constantly for their growth.
Apart from the internal duties, they also go out and attend meetings, conferences, and workshops for their own professional growth.
