Letter to the Bank Manager for Extension of PPF Account

The original duration of a Public Provident Fund (PPF) account is for a period of 15 years only. It can be extended for one or more blocks of 5 years each after the maturity.

The PPF account holder/ subscriber can request for the extension of the tenure for PPF investment by submitting necessary application form as may be prescribed.

The request must be submitted within one year from the date of maturity.
