A bank activates the auto pay facility for credit cards only after receiving a written request from a customer. The customer can request for deactivation of the auto debit facility in case he/she wishes to discontinue it for some reasons.
How to apply for cancellation: Customers can visit the bank's branch office to submit the application form in prescribed format. You can also download the application form from the bank's website and submit it to the bank. The address to which the application has to be sent must be available at the bank's official website.
Some banks may accept the cancellation request through a written letter duly signed by the customer. Following template could be used, which has all necessary details. This is for your reference.
